Agree the boundaries first
Define the product, operating territories, licensing and promotional claims that can be used. Treat any unresolved restriction as an explicit review item. Google ad rules and organic-search eligibility are separate questions.
Inspect what search engines and users can reach
Review indexable service URLs, server-rendered content, canonical conflicts, internal pathways, mobile usability and conversion barriers. A fast glossary page is not a substitute for a useful service offer.
Prioritise a commercially meaningful gap
Map supplier comparisons, product requirements, due-diligence questions and provider selection separately. Look at who ranks for each intent; avoid copying directories or competitor claims.
What a useful first review should cover
- A search-intent map excluding unsuitable territories and queries
- Technical issues tied to valuable routes, not a generic warning count
- A claim register with owners, sources and review dates
- An initial measurement plan for qualified enquiries
Before treating any audit as complete, the actual business owner must approve its offer boundaries and the page claims.
